Why choose online education?

Online education offers flexibility without compromising academic quality. At Canadian School of the World (CSW), students can study the Ontario curriculum from anywhere, balance learning with other commitments, and progress toward their academic goals with teacher support and personalized guidance.

Students receive support from qualified Ontario teachers throughout their learning journey. Teachers answer course-related questions, assess assignments, provide constructive feedback, and help students understand challenging concepts. Our goal is to ensure every student feels supported, even while studying remotely.

Students are assessed through assignments, quizzes, tests, projects, and other evaluations based on Ontario curriculum expectations. Teachers review student work, provide feedback, and evaluate academic performance to ensure students develop the knowledge and skills required for their courses.

Moodle is CSW’s online learning platform where students access course materials, complete lessons, submit assignments, receive teacher feedback, and review their grades. It provides an organized digital learning environment that helps students manage coursework and monitor academic progress.

The Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) pathway helps students work toward Ontario’s high school graduation requirements. Students must complete the required credits, community involvement hours, and literacy requirement. CSW reviews previous education, identifies eligible credits, and helps students plan the remaining requirements based on their individual academic background.

How do students stay on track?

CSW supports student progress through academic planning, teacher feedback, assignment tracking, and progress monitoring through Moodle. Students can identify upcoming coursework, review their performance, and receive guidance when additional support is needed. This structured approach encourages accountability and independent learning.

Course selection is based on each student’s current grade level, academic history, interests, and future education goals. Our academic advisors help students understand prerequisites, identify required credits, and choose courses that support their OSSD pathway or intended college or university program.

After completing Grade 12 and meeting applicable graduation requirements, students can pursue post-secondary opportunities in Canada or internationally. CSW helps students understand their academic options, identify relevant university or college prerequisites, and prepare for their next educational steps. Admission depends on each institution’s requirements.

CSW’s optional University Advisory service provides personalized guidance for students planning their post-secondary education. Support includes exploring universities, shortlisting suitable programs, reviewing admission requirements, planning applications, and understanding available financial options. This service is offered separately from regular course tuition and does not guarantee admission.

Tuition depends on the student’s enrollment type, selected courses, and academic pathway. Canadian part-time students can enroll in individual credit courses starting at CAD $500 per credit, while full-time and international students receive pricing based on their individual requirements. Optional University Advisory services start at CAD $2,000 and are billed separately. Families can book a free 30-minute consultation to discuss available options and receive personalized guidance.
